Contract Notes
AJ Brown signed a four year, $100 million extension with the Titans. Per PFT, Brown received $57.22 million in guarantees of which $40 million is guaranteed at signing. There are annual per game roster bonuses and workouts in the contract. Brown's salary for the first two years of the contract are guaranteed as well as $3.779 million of his 2024 salary. If on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2023 league year the remainder of his 2024 salary, including workout and roster bonuses will be guaranteed.
On April 25, 2024 the Eagles and Browns agreed on a three year extension worth $92 million. The contract has $84 million in guarantees. $16 million of that guarantee is new money and the rest was the money that was on his prior contract with the Eagles. From a practical standpoint given the structure of the prior contract the Eagles and rest of the NFL will likely value the new injury guarantee as $47 million. $51 million is fully guaranteed at signing. If on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2025 league year, Brown's entire 2026 salary will be fully guaranteed. If on the roster on the 3rd day of the 2026 league year, $4 million of his 2027 salary will be fully guaranteed. We are estimating that each year of the contract contains an option bonus due before the start of the regular season and four void years for salary cap purposes. We will update when we confirm the details.
